Ok, let's get to it. Hi, I'm Wild Onion. I'm a 26-year-old straight, white radical feminist currently living deep in the red territory of Florida. I would be shocked if there were more than 2.3 other radical feminists living within a 100-mile radius of me, but who am I kidding, I don't get out much anyway.
The purpose of this blog is to discuss radical feminism and affiliated -isms in both political and practical contexts. I'm fairly new to radical feminism, and I have a lot to learn. I'd like to get some feedback from other radfems out there, and I often feel a little too much of a fledgling to bring up the questions I have and topics I'm interested in on other radfem blogs/boards. So, in a way, this is my radfem sandbox. Another (related) purpose of this blog, is to bring together radfem-friendly information and ideas that have a more local context because it's hard to find much about my neck of the woods at all on the internet, much less radical leaning stuff.
Will this be a very professionally managed, constantly updated, reliable, dependable type blog? Hell no! Templates and schedules are tools of the patriarchy, dontcha know(1). But I do want this to be a safe place for feminist discussion and comment moderation will reflect that (if I ever do have commenters).
(1) Speaking of which, what's up with this 'Son of Moto' Blogger template? Why do they have to go and give the only nice green template a big old stamp of the P?
